The iconic role of Harry Potter, earlier made famous by Daniel Radcliffe for the JK Rowling series, will next be essayed by Scottish child actor Dominic McLaughlin for the HBO version.
Described as a “screen newcomer,” McLaughlin has been signed on after participating in the open casting call from the makers last year. This was basically for actors in the age groups between the 9 and 11 years.
However, The Mirror reported that the television adaptation of the JK Rowling novels is not the only upcoming project that features McLaughlin.
The child actor has already worked on upcoming Sky Original film Grow. This also features Nick Frost, who has been roped in to star as Rubeus Hagrid in the HBO series.
