The latest rumours indicate that Apple may opt for a silicon-anode battery. This could extend the battery life of the model without compromising its thinner design. As per MacRumors, AppleInsider Yeux1122 claimed that the battery capacity is 2,800 mAh, based on details of a “mass production confirmed sample”. A high-density battery could increase the “actual capacity” of Air by 15 to 20%, as per reports.
The tech giant will reportedly offer a battery case for its new smartphone. The device is said to be 5.5 mm thin. The design of the Apple Air is aimed at beating its main competitor, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, as the thinnest smartphone.
